Free White Sand Lake (Baisha Lake) Viewing Guide 🏞️
There are three scenic spots to enjoy, as shown in the map (see Image 3):

1. North Shore of Baisha Lake (白沙湖北岸) - Free
   🌍 Location: Navigate to the Mujihuo Volcano (no need to go too far). From a side road, take a turn, and you'll see the lake from a hillside. Though you can’t reach the lakeside, it's a great spot for photos 📸 (see Image 2), and you might find locals with yaks 🐂 for photo ops.
   🌾 Tip: Continue driving to find a beautiful wetland grassland (Image 1). It's a serene spot to capture stunning photos.

2. Baisha Lake Scenic Spot No. 1 (白沙湖观景点一号) - 40 CNY ($5.50)
   🌍 Location: Located along G314, this is the first parking viewpoint when driving towards Tashkurgan. You can walk through an underground passage to reach the lakeside 🌊. It's a popular spot for taking water-edge photos, but beware of the mosquitoes 🦟!
   🚶‍♂️ Hack: Instead of paying, drive a bit further and park at a nearby guesthouse or restaurant (see Image 4). Cross the road and take the walkway down. Sometimes, there might be a guard on the way back, but it's worth a try for free access! Enjoy a meal with a view 🌄 while you wait for perfect lighting conditions.

3. Baisha Lake Scenic Spot No. 2 (白沙湖观景点二号) - 20 CNY ($2.75)
   🌍 Location: Just a few kilometers further along G314, you’ll find this second spot. If you already visited Spot No. 1 on the same day, entry here is free. From here, you can get visually closer to the stunning white sands 🏖️.

📝 Tips:

• Spot No. 1 is ideal for getting close to the water, while Spot No. 2 offers the best view of the white sand dunes.
• Don't forget to capture the iconic signpost (see Image 5) on your way back towards Kashgar 📱.
